  1. a sort of generative guitar-based concept album that i'm continually adding to. as i post this, this is my day 3. i'm not sure how long i'll keep adding to it, or what any of it means, but it's happening and i thought i'd make a post about it here. thanks for listening. https://ourson.bandcamp.com/album/calm-caller
  2. Yah, so I was showing my girlfriend what "reverb" was, so I finally got my audio device hooked up to her computer to use Reaper and some stock reverb/etc. plugins. So she was on guitar through computer reverb making ambient soundscapes, then out through guitar amp, recorded with voice recorder. Then after that I did some guitar noodling. Then I took that combined recording and used gf's ambient music as the backing to the track with no cuts, and then over that I added some beatz and my guitar back in, etc. Yay~~~ [sc5]299742299[/sc5]
  3. Hey, Music Makers! I really would like to hear from you what do you think about this track, I did not post it before. When I was composing this I felt flying undirectionly in the clouds of each colour imaginable, I was on the mountain hills and felt the silence and solitude, serenity. I felt free and light, I saw other people around, although not all of them felt the same and not all of them saw same things I saw. All of them were transparent to me and I could see their inside, their confusions, anger, hatred, happiness, emotions and joy. What would you see if you close your eyes and imagine something while listening? I absolutely want to hear that, As well as some good critics
  4. Quite like how this one turned out...less beats than usual, I might try knocking out a few more in this vein. First time trying to mix down a track like this, so any production feedback appreciated...
  5. Hello, Music Makers. I am happy to present this track to you. I'd really appreciate some feed back
  6. Recently got a volca sampler and loaded it up with a bunch a drum hits and jammed out.
  7. Hey, twiddlers! What do you think about this track of mine. I recently got my first actual physical analog synth (Microbrute) and made some decent tune out of it, which I eventually compose into this track. https://soundcloud.com/d5vata/true-self
  8. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/artiphon/introducing-the-artiphon-instrument-1 Damn that'd be great for me. I'm more of a guitar player than a keyboardist. I guess there's no need to pledge it any more though
  9. Don't know if this has been mentioned but Touch will release an anniversary edition of this milestone, including extra tracks: http://touchshop.org/product_info.php?products_id=672
  10. Ooops my lovely people, I did it again :-) Another ambient guitari-centric piece for you to enjoy. This time the MDUW stays strictly on the percussion side of things. https://soundcloud.com/encym/dormant
  11. Hi All, This is a new piece - a live recording done on the Machinedrum using guitar samples previously treated, then played on the MDUW. Really different from any application I used this instrument before. I look forward to comments - this was recorded live with next to no editing. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/encym/schimmer

    soliloquy

did this live in one take hence "mistakes"
  13. I know that most here wouldn't know who this guy is. But this guy was amazing live, had a lust for the guitar and an inventive spirit. Sad loss by any measure.
  14. Hey all, I'm very pleased to play you my latest track today. Hope you like it! Feel free to let me know, very much appreciated as always! http://soundcloud.com/encym/se-a
  15. beautiful album(s): http://earstrokerecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-theme http://earstrokerecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-theme
  16. limited edition, 90 minute guitar-ambient tape recorded by an anonymous duo as "The Blue Spaces". cassette & digital available now.
  17. Hey everybody, after a long absence I've finally uploaded a new "word in progress", inspired by Aba Shanti sound system at Notting Hill Carnival this year. As always, comments very much appreciated - I will continue to work on this and change it quite a bit. Enjoy! http://soundcloud.com/encym/kensal/s-RhU0H

  19. Just found this file on a USB flash drive, I thought the world needed me to upload it to soundcloud, you'll thank me after you've played it, it's an essential recording, really ! It's great to be happy I'm tellinya! http://soundcloud.com/yan_g/silencide-yan_g-cest-g-nial-d
  20. Hi all, I just recorded some guitars and I'm rather happy with the sound I got, but since I know nothing about recording instruments through a microphone I thought I'd ask some opinions... Here's the result. The guitars are not filtered or EQed. I used a Gretsch 6119 plugged in a Fender Blues Junior, and recorded it with a SM57 without its sphere cap. http://soundcloud.com/yan_g/unt039-r5-part-4-loop

  22. Hey all, posted this on the Latest Creations forum, but maybe it belongs here? My latest release is available now, check it out at Diec EP (Vol. 3) and download at Diec EP (Vol. 3) | encym
  23. Just thought I´d share this solo from a tune by Liquid tension experiment with you guys. If you don´t know the band, it was/is the side project of three members of DT with another bassist. Pretty interesting music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_LCsNFTBIg&feature=channel_video_title

We Are Never Too Close To Ghosts 15:47 Hope you guys like this album, it took me two years to put together. This is mostly guitar (acoustic and electric), and 90% live playing (the exception being a couple of sequenced synths here and there). It's a mixture of minimal classical, psychedelic and ambient music.
