It's time to make a definitive thread on this mix. Basically it's my favourite mix of all time ever since I stumbled upon it at age 12. It's also still my most listened to set ever, but I never could find anything about the tracks played in it except for Yazoo - Don't Go... Over the years I added a few tracks to the list (just like their Ultrasound broadcast which is also almost complete + Aphex's Snowbombing set), but never got very far without proper jungle / hiphop / break knowledge. I do remember going nuts when Ceephax finally released that Turrican track and later when Luke released that Plug track, just because of the nostalgia from this set. I always listened the 55 minute version but discovered years later that there's a 15 minute longer version, with even more acid + jungle + noise, which is exactly why this mix seemed so impressive to me compared to the typical 4/4 techno music I listened to at that age. The eclectic tracklist completely changed my mind about music and from then on I appreciated a lot of different music, so the influence from just this mix really can't be understated. I think it's high time we had a thread like this. First off, This site has a whole lot of things, mostly from spoken word samples. I'm not going to list them all but you might want to read through it. Next, the relatively few I have spotted that aren't just common breaks, to my knowledge: The opening bassline of Funky Acid Stuff - Honky Tonk Popcorn by Bill Doggett The "get down and wreck shit" line from Reedin' - The Session by The Roots The "we interrupt this program of dance music" from My Style - War Of the Worlds by Orson Welles The "step up front" from Registarse - Bumpin' Bus Stop, don't know who it's by but I've heard that sample elsewhere The "please mr groove" and "can you feel it" from Sparky is a Retard - Mr. Groove and Can You Feel It. Thank you google. The vocals in A Fine Line are from The King's Singers doing two covers. I think the beginning of Memory Towel is from Buffalo Girls.

So, finally the new Vibert album on Planet Mu seems to be getting out after a few years of rumours :) Just announced at the Planet Mu showcase on BBC Radio 1 yesterday. Not really sure about the spelling of the title but w/a. Planned for release in October, first track on it is called Knock Out (played on that Planet Mu show, last track).
