Most know by now that there's official album art featuring a list of the gear purportedly used in the making of Syro: And a spreadsheet version that shows what goes on which track: https://docs.google....6S9GnEU/pubhtml But what exactly is all that gear? Here is a youtube playlist featuring demonstrations of almost all the equipment listed. The only ones omitted were rare modules, microphones, pre-amps and EQ's that weren't available on youtube, but they are all legitimate devices, searchable through google. Something to look through for your christmas shopping, a help
  2. Can anyone here perhaps recommend a wired keyboard that has a similar layout and feel as that of a macbook? I want to buy one for the lappy I use for music making so I can finally close the lid and hopefully reduce the load that's on the video chip a bit... Don't feel like spending +/- 60 euro on an accessory but on the other hand I've really gotten used to the feel of the, eh, non raised laptop keys so I'm looking for a decent ripoff.
  3. I'm doing a lot of experimental audio/visual stuff lately and I find myself wanting to hear what the images 'sound' like. I'm not a very educated person with software, but I suppose you could assign frequencies to the different cymk channels or generate audio from the codec info. ANyone know anything about this?
  4. anyone see this? i've always thought this era of computer tech was really interesting. sometimes i look at articles or interviews about this period and usually i've always been more interested to read about stuff like lesser known figures or events rather than gates/jobs/etc, and that seems to be the kind of thing this show focuses on. anyway, the first episode to me seemed like it really could've been just about any of the other big time drama type shows that A&E have popularized. the nerdy computer side took a backseat to cut-throat office maneuvers, and it was really just all about
