  1. Not too keen on the original pop-house version of the track, but Ectomorph, Finlow, and Versalife on remix duty bring this release up to recommendation.
  2. I picked this up after checking the new release page on Norman Records over the weekend. Really good album of mournful pop songs about heartbreak. The production is good too, was getting a hint of BOC vibes from some of the tracks, Helm in particular.

  4. A new single of a genre I did not do before. I do not know what the right label of genre it is so I just put it under classical/pop. Have shared two of the four songs already here and will share others via soundcloud links in the coming days when I upload them. You can hear them already on bandcamp: http://mozex.bandcamp.com/album/the-sound-of-chill
  5. I clearly made a mistake by labeling it Hip Hop, will make another topic
  6. The debut album from my experimental pop band has finally been released. https://hushhushnoise.bandcamp.com/ It started off as a client (singer/songwriter Lily Fawn) coming to my studio wanting to create electronic reworkings of her songs so she could perform them live without a backing band. I got so excited about how the first song was turning out that I asked her if she wanted to make it a full time collaborative project. That lead to us preparing an entire Twin Peaks cover set for a theme show the next month (as Songs from the Black Lodge), as well as the dozen originals on this release. Hope you like it! (The first song which spawned the whole project was "Animals". That was soon followed by "Friday Morning Hymn" which was originally a Zephyr Nova remix of her song.)
  7. Hi! I’m Timi Alexander, a 23-year old Finnish singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist living in London, and I'll be releasing my debut solo album on Soundcloud and Spotify within a week or two. The record takes influence from the 90s alternative rock and hip hop production (Liquid Swords is a big inspiration on the skit-like nature of the album flow), a combination that will further be explored on the future releases, as well as Aphex Twin. I've performed and produced all the music in my bedroom, an environment I've found surprisingly inspiring over the course of the making of the album. 8. Just a shorter new thing I've been working on ?
  9. Why is there such a high rate of suckage among songs with a swung beat--especially one with a tambourine? Listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AJmKkU5POA Fuck. That. Gay. Swing!
  10. I am ill atm with cold/flu bug. When I am ill, this is my shit: What soda do you like? What soda do you not like? What is the most IDM soda? Honourable mentions go to:

  13. Hello! To kick off our very young new label (Doga Media) we are releasing the debut of the experimental electronic group Bonsaei. Titled HC19P, the album kicks off with the inverted rave-pop noise of "Lo Lo" and quickly moves into violent and space oriented techno, as well as the Drexciya inspired "Mondo Gordo" (video below), "Suno SFN" and the dub techno of "Rilofasic." the album can be heard here We look forward to further new releases which can be heard in coming months, and encourage listeners to check out other old releases from the (young) label website, which run the gamut from noise-pop to experimental composition and IDM. And to keep a keen eye out for new releases in the coming months! Thanks for listening!
  14. This is my first album and its free! Hope you enjoy. http://lexagon.bandcamp.com/

  17. 2005/06: euro club/ dark disco/rave 2007 ish: disco pop/new wave 2008/09: techno/electro 2010: euro trance/synth pop 2011: dubstep/hip house/dutch techno 2012: progressive electro/dubstep/caribbean/ 2013: trap... industrial.. garage... grime.. gabber? 2014: .... IDM? not judging this potential phenomenon one way or another or that it's likely to happen, just seems like something i could see the kanye's and the pharell's and the jay z's getting all hyped up as the next big electronic music subgenre trend picked up by the mainstream... although it could likely be trip hop, dnb, jungle, whatever... italo disco... thoughts? would that be scary? ...cool? f*cked? what would/could that be like? would idm fans abandon their fav genre if that happened?.. embrace it even more?... ridiculous to even consider? of course, im not saying idm would go pop per so, but that mainstream pop producers/artists could infuse their styles with remnants. we're already starting to hear a lotta glitchyness, distorted bass and heavy bitcrushing in top 40 music... never know lol
  18. New electronica album coming next week on Kompakt. First single can be heard here:- Listen on Soundcloud.com From RA: Nick Kold Eriksen, AKA Taragana Pyjarama, is ready to release his first album,Tipped Bowls. Eriksen is a Danish producer with a blissed-out, droning style of electronic pop. He just debuted around this time last year, but has received considerable praise for the one EP he's put out so far: a self-titled release on Fool House that included the tracks "Girls" and "Ocean," the latter of which allegedly piqued the interest of Kompakt boss Michael Mayer. Tipped Bowls will be Eriksen's debut on Kompakt, making him the latest addition to the Cologne imprint's ever-increasing Danish contingent (along with WhoMadeWho and Jatoma). You can stream the second track, "Growing Forehead," on Kompakt's SoundCloud page. Looking forward to hearing it, comes in a nice 2 x 10" + CD package.
