  1. ZONAL, the brainchild of Justin Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu/JK Flesh) and Kevin Martin (The Bug/Ming Midas Sound) present their monumental Relapse Records debut, "Wrecked". ZONAL continues where their previous collaboration Techno Animal left off, and combines a brutal ongoing obsession with beats, bass, dub, drone, noise and riff. Under their new guise, the enigmatic duo push the parameters and atmospheres that have earned them critical acclaim further and deeper; ZONAL's sound has become ever more corrupted, corroded, slower and lower; with the theme of exploring inner/outer space acts as the gelling agent for this shockingly monolithic sound. Anyone who witnessed their sonic destruction and lyrical detonation c/o MOOR MOTHER at both ROADBURN and UNSOUND festivals will not be disappointed by the slo-mo meltdown. Tracklisting 1.Body of Wire (featuring Moor Mother) 2.In a Cage (featuring Moor Mother) 3.System Error (featuring Moor Mother) 4.Medulla (featuring Moor Mother) 5.Catalyst (featuring Moor Mother) 6.No Investigation (featuring Moor Mother) 7.Wrecked 8.Debris 9.Black Hole Orbit 10.S.O.S. 11.Alien Within 12.Stargazer Get your pre-orders in on Relapse after previewing the immense System Error off the LP, as well as this banging free two-track EP the boys put out earlier this year. Then there's a pretty cool interview as well, with the lads nerding out over their Elektron gear. Street date, Oct 25.
  2. what happened to this blog? this guy was one of the last few trusted hip-hop writers in these dark times. found a website under his name still running but his old blog was an archive of amazing old interviews and rare gems. I remember seeing that video of busdriver on blind date on there. also made me aware of classics like these;
  3. Here's a discussion for LiL PEEP and the divisive but poignant music he makes... shit resonates with me, it's paradoxically deep and shallow all while remaining entrancing in a lullaby sort of way... it's almost guaranteed, unless you have no soul, that if you stumble on the right track, you will become entranced: here's some tasters... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNj1V8wYPM4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcnlguoS3XA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khVIMW_ac1A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs8WmT86IkY
  4. Hi I made a different track than I usually do, please feel free to listen to it https://soundcloud.com/unkorecords/de-stora-stenarna-kallas-for-berg-och-de-sma-ar-deras-babisar-r
  5. http://www.complex.com/music/2017/01/the-best-rapper-alive-every-year-since-1979 good stuff, and i'll probably still be working my way through this in 2018
  6. Bought a second hand cassette deck recently and been ripping some old cassette's to mp3 for my mixcloud account. From mixtapes I bought in my local record store to radio show recordings, mostly 90's hip hop; Listen to more here; https://www.mixcloud.com/plugexpert/

  8. Slightly different to the Watmm music but still close to its legacy. Run-DMC in the early 1980s was old school electro at its best. Charging hardcore battle rhymes over naked 808 beats, they simply changed the rap game in 1984. So it's time to reminisce over 30 years of Run, DMC & Jam-Master Jay (R.I.P.). Enjoy the short trip.
  9. barely know why I'm posting this here at this point but if you have sub woofers you might like this

  11. I was surprised to not see a thread for this: perhaps that's why I hadn't heard about the release 'til a few days ago, though it's been out for nearly a month. I'm honestly not sure how many folks on wattumz are into this sort of stuff, but there's a few at least so yeah. https://paydromartinez.bandcamp.com/album/zuu This one seems slightly less chop/cut than the last, but is equally off-center and sample heavy. Only listened through once, but it's solid.
  12. Check out this beat I made. Would sound good with a powerful voice or two :) [sc5]107198380[/sc5]
  13. Since 2008 there is a torrent floating around featuring tons of mid 90's hip hop filled Dutch radio shows (http://kuiken.co/search/dutch%20mastaz/0/99/0), today I've uploaded the content of this torrent to mixcloud for ease of streaming, listening.. ..although there is the obvious Dutch chatter in between tracks, freestyles and what not, there is still enough gold to wade through for non-Dutchies imo :) Check all the collected Dutch Mastaz shows from the torrent here: http://www.mixcloud.com/plugexpert/ Big respect to Solo11 for recording and digitizing all his cassette tapes & theboombap.nl for sharing the .torrent! (read more about the origins here: Read this (Dutch): http://www.theboombap.nl/theBoards/read.php?1,1205439)) Random example show:
