So my good friend Nathaniel has just pressed up 50 copies of his newest on a 12", and as usual, I feel that his recordings are criminally underrated. Anyone who is into Mrs Jynx, more melodic Milieu stuff, and generally the Rephlex classics of Vatican Nitez, Desktop Robotics and Wasted Sunday, with a little bit of pre- drill Mike P as well...basically you need to check this shit out. I was lucky enough to release two curated collections of trax he mailed to my PO box (Egret's Crystal / A Heart Is A Forest) at my Recycled Plastics imprint, and anyone who is already into that stuff will no doubt be quite into this new one!

So I realized last year that in all this time producing electronic music, I've never really attempted an acid record. So I tried it, and it got so tangential that I ended up with 2 hours of material. Sensing that the world didn't need yet another double-album, and also because of the fact that the music is more playful than highbrow, I decided to split it into two separate parts. I'm not quite sure how much this qualifies as true acid - it doesn't - but it definitely bears the marks of the genre, as well as all my other favorite things from electronic music. There's loads of melodies and a couple spots of breaks and even a weird jungle track (that's on Part 2)...anyway I put it on FIFTEEN copies of black cassette tape. Get in! Milieu - Polypsilon, Part 1

Virtually bubbling over with wild sprawls of organic electronics, Libre Arbitre delivers a warm, cuddly listening experience that is perfect for Winter. Arbee's standalone style of growing alien forms from familiar electronic pastures is once again at the forefront of these songs - at any moment, a track can twist itself from a still ambient pool of dripping notes into a clattering drunken rhythmic structure, and back again. Arbee's work is not incidentally this way, but his is a decided compositional process that leaves in all the aural hiccups and analog atmosphere. Arbee's original concept for Libre Arbitre was for the album to include eight original tracks, and have them mirrored by eight remixes. So, the eight originals remain here for free, and the eight remixes are included on the CD-R version of Libre Arbitre. The remix personnel are: Fingers In The Noise, Bleupulp, Darren Harper, Stopmotion, Galerie Stratique, Jonas The Plugexpert, E1000 and Coppice Halifax. Well, we're finally back again, and we've got a new 80 minute album (and corresponding EP), a reissue of the debut album from 2009 (with the vinyl exclusive track " ") and not one but two massive digital compendiums of field recordings/textures/white noise/atmospheres that make up the source of the backdrops from the SEAS albums.
