  1. Evening WATMM, Melbourne dark synth heavyweights, The Night Terrors, emerge from the depths of the studio to launch their brand new record Monster / Lasers for Eyes on Seed Records. Featuring vintage horror synth, breakneck rhythms and the haunting theremin melodies of Miles Brown (student of Russian theremin queen Lydia Kavina), Night Terrors offer a mind-melting mix of dark synth magic, thunderous dreamscapes and other-worldly electronica. Featuring vintage horror synth, breakneck rhythms and the haunting theremin melodies of Miles Brown (student of Russian theremin queen Lydia Kavina), Night Terrors offer a mind-melting mix of dark synth magic, thunderous dreamscapes and other-worldly electronica. Listen on Soundcloud.com Since the release of their debut long-player Back to Zero in 2009, The Night Terrors have taken their theremin-fuelled synthscapes across the world, supporting the likes of Goblin, Hawkwind, Lou Reed, Black Mountain, Serena-Maneesh, Melt-Banana, Bardo Pond & Pink Mountaintops. Upon return to Australia the band retreated to studios in Tasmania and Melbourne to work on songs for their follow-up album. Monster / Lasers For Eyes is the first glimpse of the Night Terrors new sound – moving beyond the post-prog stylings of their earlier work to focus on a broader universe of warped psychedelic electronics and the darker corners of the dancefloor. The 12” features remixes by Berlin Italo-disco legend Antoni Maiovvi (repaying the favour for the Night Terrors’ 2011 remix of his single Murderfunk) and Australian synth legend Ash Wednesday (The Metronomes, The Models, Einstürzende Neubauten). Also included are previously unreleased Night Terrors live favourites Meteor Shower and Somnambulist. 2. Hello WATMM, A multimedia celebration of an international collaboration between Sleeps in Oysters and two prolific visual artists – Madrid-based video director Carlos Saez and UK fine artist LustrousChemistry (Paul Hearn). The single is presented in physical form as a data disc, giving equal weight to audio and visual elements, with beautiful handmade packaging from Hearn that appropriates the CD artwork of other girls. It includes a techno-erotic video love story, a collection of digital collages, and seven new audio tracks comprising previously unreleased songs, remixes, re-imaginings and spoken-word fiction from musicians Christ, Diasonic and The Strangest Pet. 100 physical copies only: http://www.sleepsino...othergirls.html Have a decent Bank Holiday weekend.

Forced in to hiding as a direct consequence of their meteoric rise to the heady heights of Stardom Guest House and B+B after the success of 2010’s, ‘Space Trumpet,’ - regarded by many as responsible for the assassination of Osama Bin Laden , the London Riots, Russell Grant’s return to our TV screens and the passing of Billy Bragg - the Dagger Brothers, had to make their latest Magnum opus, ‘Hot Doctor,’ in an RSPB wetland nature reserve using only the orifices of Parus major and other tiny British wildlife of the avian variety . Get them on iTunes: http://itunes.apple....tor/id497873399 Have a decent weekend.
