  1. Based entirely of tape loops and microcassette recordings, "Vuoto a perdere" could be the follow-up to "Music From A Sinking World" album released in 2021. "Vuoto a perdere" consists of 9 tracks all composed taking as inspiration and sound source the 1938 ballet "Billy The Kid by Aaron Copland". It is a warm steam, marked by bright, distant and delicate harmonies, what radiates, rarefied and enveloping matter that gradually evolves following a slow and light path of ambient sounds. Reinterpretation, tape loops processing and imperfections by Andrea Porcu (Music For Sleep). Original drawing by Aurélie Salavert. www.instagram.com/aurelie.salavert/
  2. for fans of tape loops music and of course William Basinski
  3. Seven symphonies for heartbreaking, melancholy loops..The "Music From A Sinking World" album project is in its entirety the recovery of some tape loops (recorded between March and October 2020), erected on orchestral fragments, static interruptions and blurry depths.
  4. "Anima Loop", was meant to be played in a live concert at Borgo Dei Carbonai (Esterzili) in August 2020.Esterzili it's a comune (municipality) in the Province of South Sardinia in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 100 kilometres north of Cagliari. The event was supposed to be my first concert in 10 years in my homeland, Sardinia.Unfortunately for personal reasons, and due to the restrictions caused by covid-19, the event was canceled. In early September 2020, I decided to record it live in my studio because "Anima Loop" had something important to me and I wanted to share it with you all. Each of my concerts is never reproduced the same as the previous one, so "Anima Loop" had to be born and die wit the concert. For this reason I decided to cut out the two long Tape Loops used in the Live process in individual pieces and including them as gift inside the CD packaging.Recorded with: 2 x Reel To Reel (Tape Loops), sequenced synthesizers (Roland SH201 / Moog Sub Phatty), Field recorder + Vestax MR300.Thanks for listening.
  5. Hidden harmonies behind distant voices suspended in the air, like faded memories in a slow reverberation of emotions. The rain and the waves of the sea cradle my path on this long journey.Silences that are struck along the way keep in me the curiosity to find out if there will be another wave after the next one.
  6. What are you left with… when the fringe of it intercedes your objection.. The fullness of silence unveils more emptiness. (and more). You’re left with it. Here in the stillness. Streams and droplets usually come in in fragments. Fragments and a quilt of memories, feelings, a time. A sunroom with her beams pouring in, through. It was a full-moon night and the moon was rising.... The master remained silent for a long time; didn't say anything. And then suddenly he came to life and said, 'Look at the cypress in the courtyard.' A beautiful cool breeze was blowing and playing with the cypress and the moon had just come above the branch. It was beautiful, incredible... almost impossible that it could be so beautiful.
  7. Available for the first time on Vinyl!Music For Sleep - Infinite Tape Loops (12" LP version)Limited to 80 copies
  8. Music For Sleep - Infinite Tape Loops: The Edge fans of W. Basinski, Brian Eno and Robert Fripp will appreciate this work..
  9. Music For Sleep - Infinite Tape Loops: The Edge fans of Brian Eno, W. Basinski will love this release (limited edition CD - 40 copies / digital) When I was a child I lived in a small house on the outskirts of a small village in Sardinia. The house was located 100 meters from the countryside (close San Gavino Monreale castle). I spent my whole childhood playing and exploring all these uninhabited places, sometimes there were dangers but the love for nature was much stronger. This song and its artwork reflect those beautiful moments spent with my dearest and old friends in those magnificent places where human beings have not yet built anything.
  10. Music For Sleep - Infinite Tape Loops: Vol.1 (CD Edition) https://mforsleep.bandcamp.com/album/infinite-tape-loops-vol-1 for fans of William basinski's Disintegration Loops series.....
  11. If you have 45 min free of your time, this ambient track will worth every single second. Found this on bandcamp https://discreetmusic.bandcamp.com/album/water Discreet Music is the solo project by the Japanese artist Hiroaki Yamamoto, inspired by Brian Eno's Album “Discreet Music”. Each recording has been extrapolated from live tape loops performaces. Loops derive from new or old tape recordings. Each sound was written and programmed using analog and modular synths, processed and reprocessed through filters and analog effects to find the ‘No-Sound'.
  12. "In an interview conducted by TMT earlier this week, composer and ambient legend William Basinski revealed the title and details for his next album release. Entitled Nocturnes, the disc will include two pieces, one culled deep from his Tupperware archives and the other a more recent composition. The young post-grad Basinski of the late San Fran 1970s here provides a “very trippy” prepared piano and tape loop piece, built in part upon an experiment with graphic notation. Meanwhile, Basinski the elder L.A. gun (and Williamsburg veteran) contributes a drone, loop, and feedback piece of a two- or three-year vintage, freshly revised after having originally been employed in Robert Wilson’s recent opera, The Life and Death of Marina Abramović (for which decade-plus Basinski bud Antony Hegarty also spun some tunes)." "There is no firm release date yet in place, but as Basinski finalizes the artwork, he hopes to have it out on his own 2062 label sometime before the end of the year." read http://www.tinymixta...ore-year-is-out 2062 http://www.mmlxii.com
