Listening to 'Glorimar’s Whore House' on Boomkat ... what's that sampling? Sounds like some classic 90s 'artificial intelligence' era track

EDIT: Is it this maybe .....

Boomkat is actually cheaper than the label?

The label is based in Japan and shipping costs from there are very expensive now, at least internationally. Boomkat will almost certainly be cheaper/less hassle.

Finally arrived. This will be taking up a lot of playtime over a lot of other recent purchases. Awesome collection of tracks.

i've barely listened to anything else besides the new Nuron/Fugue reissue on Likemind. just ridiculously good music; i'm obsessed with Useless Movement right now, can't believe i never heard this before. outstanding

"NYC's DJ Sprinkles brings the heat to a great underground venue tonight.

In anticipation of his LP 'DJ Sprinkles Presents K.S.H.E', he plays London for the first time since his set alongside Carl Craig all those years ago.

This is a special one-off. The venue, artist, moment and production will never be repeated.

      Make love in public places...."

Comatonse is putting out a trilogy of EPs from Will Long, a.k.a. Celer.

The tunes mark an about face from Long's experimental work under the name Celer—these are straight-up deep house dance floor efforts made with "rhythm composer percussion, polyphonic synth chords, and rack sampler vocals." Therre Thaemlitz will provide overdubbed versions of each track as DJ Sprinkles.
The first EP is out this week, with the other two following in September, as well as a double CD collecting up all the tracks in digital format.

ok. the album is 2 years old. but whatever.
this is just about the nicest album there is. i have completely fallen in love with it recently.

it's the only release i have by Terre Thaemlitz. was wondering, if any of you peeps could recommend other things to listen to. anything with the same amount of hypnotic lushness as this groovy release would be greatly appreciated!!!!^_^

New podcast: INTERRUPTIONS #12 Lost Techno-Pop Weekend in Rural Midwestern America, curated by Terre Thaemlitz

A deliberate attempt to vindicate techno-pop as one of the most important genres of the last century.

By the time mainstream pop music really became electronically based in terms of synthesizer/sampler instrumentation and editing (first with R&B and hip-hop, then mainstream pop), the techno-pop synth sound would be utterly abandoned by both pop and underground electronic cultures (techno, house, etc.). In this sense, techno-pop constitutes an isolated and rarely discussed 'lost weekend' from standard pop practices. Techno-pop is most often dismissed as a shade of new romanticism, punk or electro. However, I believe its strict emphasis on electronics and critical rejection of rock culture (at least in the beginning) make techno-pop in and of itself one of the most important, albeit short-lived, genres of the last century. Then again, my views are admittedly warped by an upbringing in the rural Midwestern US, where electronic music was not only scarce, but phobically abhored by most people. Terre Thaemlitz, 2013
