She's a woman, not a girl. And yeah, I like her stuff, too. I first heard (and still really love) Untitled Death, and it's nice to see the range she has. I still need to hear Motto of the Wheel.

your signature says you're a fangirl, are you not a fanwoman instead?

Is "fanwoman" an established word? I wouldn't dare to call myself the biggest fan period, and that line's a joke, anyhow. I guess you got me, chronical!

I honestly think it's redundant pointing out things like that. We should empower ourselves instead of being triggered by a word. I'm happy to see more female artists on WATMM anyways :flower:

The previews remind me a little of Basinski, but more compositional which is great. Might just get this for gloomy springtime

Very much liking her work too. The variations in style, sometimes a track will be just a complex synth patch making psychedelic sounds, sometimes it will be a pseudo-Grimes/Cocteau Twins embryonic pop song. Quite a bit of the time its just vignettes of sound with a spoken word part, a repeated phrase. Like a punk musique concrete.

Given this a couple of listens now. I'd say its a return to the austere tone of Untitled Death. Out are the classic drum breaks and rave inflected singing of Motto and Love Crime, much more in the way of Derbyshire-esque shimmering malevolent drones. Good stuff 4 bags of popcorn and a blow-up druid. Y no vinyl tho Death of Rave? Are the pressing plant delays beginning to discourage smaller vinyl releases I wonder.
