Yeah, I'll get round to it one day - I wanna do this as the question keeps cropping up but I'm busy and my DAW install is fucked at the mo. In the meantime here's the patch: LFO - Rate = 4, Delay = 1 VCO - Tune = 1, Pulsewidth = 10 LFO. Source Mixer - Pulse = 5, Saw = 7, Sub OSC = 10 1 Oct down VCF - Freq = 7, Res = 6, Env = 2 Mod = 1, Keyb = 3. VCA - Env ENV - Attack = 1, Delay = 10, Sustain = 0, Release = 10. Obviously this will need tweaking a bit, per machine.
Guest BunnyRabbit
So, I've finally got my PC fixed and here is, I hope, the definitive answer to the perenial Roygbiv bassline what/how question. I start with the filter cutoff open to 6.5 and the saw on 7, bring in the rest of the sources, sort the VCF section out then the LFO and VCO sections and the env. This is on my MC-202 although the SH-101 is probably what BOC use. I think the key to the sound is the PWM that you can hear come in at about 27 secs.
