Concept: your in 1983: What the **** do you listen to?

Ive been in the 1975-1974 for 2 weeks now?

A friend decided to start the same concept and start in 1983, so as much as I enjoyed 1975 and the last few days, Bowi-Low (1977) album, im back to the 80s!

Sounds lke were right in the middle of funk, soul.

Im listening to Little corvette by prince. lovely tune

It's 1983, I'm 9, and it's Dio's Holy Diver, which I got as a present I asked for. The only other album that's mine (in our vinyl shelves) is ZZ Top's Eliminator.

A couple of those are a year or two old in 1983 but I’m definitely still listening to them.

honestly, the album 1999 from prince released in 1982 is such a bizarre encounter at first. but after a few listen, im blown fuckin away

Apart from that, today ive listened to mostly album from 1983: van morrison, van halen lol, the police (lovely), Meat puppets (awesome), tear for fears

1983 was the first record for Metallica, Slayer and Madonna. I think id pick the metallica first album over slayer, even though i prefer slayer generally.

the madonna album is like nothing ive ever heard. Reminds me of Aqua-im a barbie girl, in a barbie world.

Tracks like Holiday are pretty damn amazing: that rythm guitar is hypnotizing to me. i had never truly listened to the track.

same with lucky star.
