(I've already had a hand full of bands/artists say they're interested, so this is filling up quick. All you have to do is email me at info@handstitchedheart.com)

First check out the first 3 compilations:

http://www.handstitchedheart.com/hsh/compilations.html

Compilation 4 is in the works now!

I'm now taking submissions for the next installment in the HSH compilation series, this one will be the 4th. Please read below before getting in touch about getting you music on it. There are guidelines, fees and etc...

The next compilation will be like compilation 3, with full color sleeves not printed using screen printing. The CD faces will be screen printed. A one pressing of 500 copies will be made. 25 copies goes to each artist/band. At the most, 15 bands/artists will be on it. After the compilation has been distributed and HSH runs out of copies (we will give our copies away with orders) there will be a downloadable version. Each band/artist will have oportunity to be interviewed on this website, and linked.

The point of the compilations is to form a collective of bands, artists, and Hand Stitched Heart to help expose everyone's stuff to people around the world. The past compilations have been successful and everyone loves them. You get your music in the hands of people to hear you quick so they at least know about you. HSH will do everything possible to help on the part of this website to help promote you too through these compilations and the interview section. Another point to this is DIY. HSH is about putting together things in a DIY fashion and the compilations reflect this as well, by the means of how they are made...by us! We press all the discs, and print everything. The result is a personal item that people tend to cherish more rather than treating as any other release.

Along with the music you will be able to have an interview on the website so people can learn about you more and find out where you are on the internet.

To get accepted each band/artist has to pay a charge of $50.00. This helps pay for the copies, and allows everyone to be able to give thier copies out for free. The point is promotion, and by collectively coming together to pitch in on the bill, this makes this happen. You pay for your recording, and it is up to you to get it done,as well as the fee and information in by deadline. I will master everyone's songs.

Everyone keeps the rights to their songs. You may use a song already released or an exclusive song. We are looking for all types of music, the more genres the better. Everyone is accepted as long as you agree with everything, and understand what this is about. I do reserve the right to refuse any band/artist to be on it. Music that I find offensive will be refused (anything racist, homophobic, sexist, and etc...)

As things roll, emails will be provided with the latest updates. I will ask you for information and such to be included.

If you are interested, simply send an email stating who you are and any info you can provide to tell who you are. State that you want to be on the compilation too.Links to websites are reccomended as well.

This is a first come first serve basis, and I will kick people off who are not submitting what they need to.

Deadline TBA Email info@handstitchedheart.com to get onto this compilation!!

after taking the extra time to figure out what the hell kind of music you're actually looking for, I found that it was not to my taste. Thanks for the offer, though I wouldn't want to give you $50 anyway.

so, are YOU trying to tell ME (THE IdironBoomTracks) that I pay YOU FIFTY FUCKIN' SQUID (well, £30 - what with exchange rates and oil and all that other malarky falarky) that I, (I repeat, THE Soundtrack of Idironess) cannot have my song 'Dirty Negro Stole My Job (at the Coalmines mix)' or 'Fucking Faggot Jews Nicked My Allowance' because it's 'racist' or some shit?

you're awfully fucking floppy pinko liberal when these "past compilations have been successful and everyone loves them". i mean, nobody loves a fag. what's the deal with that fagboy?

c'mon, i'll be straight with you man. sorry, to seem so indignant and all. it's 'first come first serves' yeah? so no doubt all these no-hopers and shit-for-brains spazztards are gonna come running, BUT face it mang, you want ME (THE Ibidididom Soundytrackicles) on your'e God-forsaken, shitard compilation 'cause I would be the only thing adding that factor of awesomeness that your compilation quite obviously lack (but it seems people today will accept a lower level awesome nowadays anyway - so no big loss on your part).

SO really, in conclusion, howabout YOU pay ME 50 American twat quids, make 500 copies, put my pretty mutha fuckin mug on the mutha fuckin front cover and SUCK MY PEE PEE???

so, are YOU trying to tell ME....

Fucking hell, Idiron, that was uncalled for.

Nobody makes any money on the comps; they are given away for free. It's a way for artists to pool together and get their music out to a new audience. The guy who heads this up is an artist himself, and his music has undoubtedly reached a larger audience than yours. If you don't think it's worth the $50 (which goes into the production costs, nobody makes a penny), then don't do it, but fuck, man. There have been some EKTers in the past who have been on these comps, and I'm sure the "no-hopers and shit-for-brains spazztards" label doesn't apply to all of them (though it may apply to me, as I was on the first one).

I'll be sure to avoid your shitty net releases in the future, Idiron, since you seem to be the only audience your bloated ego requires. Fucker.

guys. nobody's making a penny off of this. it goes into the production of the release. these things do cost money, and every copy is given away for free to people. if you think it's a scam just email the other people who've been on it before and see what they think. this is just a fun project, so stop going overboard with your theories of this being some kind of corperate take over.

i'm an electronic music as well > Satellite Grooves, and i know how hard it is to spread the word about your music to others. So, for the past year or so i have been working on doing things to help my music and the music of others. if you don't understand, you don't have to be ugly about it, just simply pass it by.

There's actually a handfull of artists from this board alone who's been on them. So, when you put down this you put down them too.

sorry, stressfull day and i felt like venting via some deviant humour.

but look, every other week theres another one of these fucking things. this is this guys FIRST post.

people, how about you spend £70 and make 25 copies of your OWN album? or £100 and 50 copies? OR of course, you could be impressed by the professional formality of the above, and succumb to the icey-white-smile, i-know-how-you-suffer-for-your-art, im-your-marketing-savour crap that's peddled by all.

as an avid listener of EKT, im far more inclined to buy someones EP or CD-R they've busted their balls to make and im sure record labels would be far more impressed too. i am not putting people on EKT 'down', nor do i have the right to - i am merely saying its stupid to pay extra for less than what you can do on your own. ive nearly succombed to the insidious pull of 'omfg professionalism!' twice, but lack of funds stopped me. why dont all the people who entered last time, just make their OWN and sell them via whichever netlabel they release on which ALSO, coincidently, there are more listeners than this guy will be clamouring for?

this is a SEMI-SCAM ok? "people tend to cherish it more" and its a "HAND-STITCHED FUCKING HEART"" i hear you cry! well, i must admit that that nearly won me over, but i have a black soul at heart and am a cunt.

if hes asking for your money HE DOESNT HAVE FAITH IN YOU, and will be merely laughing to himself as you sit at home with 25 copies of some compilation, whilst he sits at home with profit made cuz of his friends' friend who works at the cd printing factory.

i am just trying to do my bit for the community. if my stupid sarcasticly British sense of humour and feigned egotism means youre not gonna listen to my music, that hurts. but really, this is bullshit. all it is some dreamweaver skills, artful semantics and marketing waffle faggotry. so howabout we get joyrex to make WATMM VOL. II instead?

well it's not exactly free if you're paying $50 is it? you're essentially paying $2 per copy of your own cd that you get like one track on. if you were to press 1000 copies it only comes to $1000, which is $1 a copy at cost, and you don't have to print the covers yourself, they're print full color and shrinkwrap the thing for you and everything.

and in reality who has ever bought a pay to play cd comp that their own material was not on? anybody? anybody? exactly. this "exposure" you speak of is only to other equally desperate artists trying to "make it". which does about nothing for anyone.

I’m not trying to rip anyone off. :(

My intentions are good and the musicians who have been a part of it appreciate it. I don't have any friends at cd plants or anything else of the sort. People respond to these compilations very positively because it gives them an opportunity to listen to musicians that they normally wouldn't have initially heard of. Not everyone is on watmm or even searching around the internet for music. Some people still first hear of musicians by something like this compilation, and it works. I have gotten emails from people who have never heard of a lot of the musicians on the compilations because they didn't listen to music that was of a certain genre, but when they heard them they became open to it and supported them by buying their music. The intention has, and always will be to try to help musicians who want to reach more listeners, and this has been a good means of doing it.

Sure you could go out and spend the money on your own release. I hope that you would do that rather than resorting to just this compilation as a way to just have your music released. I ask for songs that already are released so that it promotes that release. If someone wants to contribute an exclusively made song, then that's fine and their choice. A lot of the people who are on the compilations run their own labels, and when someone buys a CD from them, they drop one of these in the mail with it. The person who recieves it listens to it, and hears other bands/artists they've never heard of and enjoy it, thus going to support them. It may be 25 copies per band, but damn, even if one person has been gained to listen to more music by a band/artist they discovered on it then it has served its purpose. Mostly all of the copies I have from it are sent to radio stations to play, and put in record stores for people to take free. These compilations reach people that your releases may or may not reach on its own, and that's the point.

oh. this is my first post with this user name. it used to be satellitegrooves before the board was down and decided to go with hsh.

I can vouch for Mr SatelliteGrooves/HandStitchedHeart. He posted information about these compilations and other stuff regularly on the old board.

I liked his T-shirts, and had a spare $50, and so I contributed a track to HSH compilation #2

You get what you pay for. $50 gets you 25 copies of an eclectic CD, and the knowledge that another 475 copies are out there somewhere. Is that worth $50? Thats up to you.

He explains the scheme, and its up to you whether to get involved or not. Its no scam.

ya'll are being rude. Satellite Grooves is a hard working, decent musician who has fantastic business ethics and a great reputation. if you don't want to be on the comp, then just don't participate.

:(
