Nice programming, fucking great overall dude. Totally nice, I'm really digging it.

But it's too much like drukqs, way too much. be more original!

Thanks for the feedback.

Hmmm, it doesn't sound much like Druqs to my ears, especially not the melodies, and I don't think the production sounds like it either. But of course Aphex Twin has been a big influence on me, especially when it comes to beat programming. Most of my other tracks don't sound anything like this one.

--check http://www.acidplanet.com/zephyr_nova for more. Some of the most original sounding ones are: Day Breaks, 0 Radio, The Ice People are Melting, Chasing Chimeras, Wrath of the Tiny Teeth, Life in Reverse, I am Error... unfortunately unless you're registered to the site, you can only listen to the streams which don't sound very good because of the low bitrate encodings (128kbps or occassionally 160 when 120 sounds too terrible).

Gorgeous! I have to agree that it does sound a little drukqs-y, but not the melodies, mostly in the mash of different drum sounds and the acid style lines.

The melodic content is great! Awesome chord progressions. The only negative thing I can say is that I think there should be a nice breakdown or a more pronounced progression in the track, but I'm probably just saying that because I've been listening to (and writing) a lot of progressive rock lately!

I really do need to listen to more prog rock myself. Only CDs I own in that vein is one album by King Crimson, a few by Devin Townsend, and a few by Mars Volta if they count. The Aereon CD I've heard's pretty amazing (prog rock opera about a kid who got pushed around a lot... don't remember what happens). I've listened to a lot of Rush and Dream theatre as well, but don't own any of the albums yet.

I have one song that's pretty much my interpretation of prog rock in drill 'n' bass form called Robovirtuoso posted at acidplanet, in case you're interested: http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=751177&t=1430

The acid line on 23:23 I added as a new addition to spice things up since my original post. There's a Venetian Snares song off of Rossz that it sort of reminds me of --it's not an acid line, but it's a big doubled stereo synth that barges in and out. Not sure which song or I'd recommend it because it kicks ass.

Cheers!

The initial melody reminded me abit of Druqks but once other lines come in after 1.30 it just reminds me less of it and more just of RDJ's usual output. Some nice melodies, you have good skills at dynamics of when to use chords and change it up, drums were abit too hectic for me, some of the effects were used to good effect but alot of the time they just got on my nerves and were too upfront in the mix.

I heard the other one you did, which I prefer alot more, the one that sounds like gongs with hip hop beats, total wagon christ era mo wax head gear, lovely
