Morvoren sounds a lot like Cylob. Also that new logo reminds me of the "Reload" logo

yeah i agree about the Cylob thing, interestingly enough if the myspace tracks are done by different person(s) than why does the new Tuss 6 track thing have so much cylob esque fm synthesis in it (blatantly not analog synthesis on many of the tracks) ?

People everywhere telling me how good Rushup is when it isn't even out yet. Buy my album thieves!"

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. that's what you get for splitting your tracks over 3 releases.

i dont know man its pretty sad to be able to get a full album of such quality material without having to pay for it. I really feel for him. i feel like being able to buy this album without hearing it first would be way more pleasurable. anybody who has any respect for the Tuss will buy it and not be a cheap bastard mp3 child theif.

I buy releases when they are quality and I'll certainly be buying this. I'm just too impatient to wait for stuff anymore.

I gots the mp3s and will still buy both formats when it's released. But I do that with most things... it's not the same without having a hardcopy w/ artwork etc (not to mention it wont be crappy 192br mp3s... I want these babies in all their lossless glory).

Analogue oscillator with FM capability

for me he is kind of confirming the leak

like "look you can download it its the real one"

i also think he leaked it himself or why was there no leak of the ep until it shipped and there is now one of the album so much earlier

I can't imagine rephlex is sending out promo discs of the Tuss LP (especially considering the feverent interest over this/any RDJ-related release). that means the leak was likely in-house.

Rephlex probably saw all the hype here and started leaking it for the hell of it.

They knew we'd go mad.

#2: If they didn't do what I just said, they'll probably be thinking "Why didn't we think of that?"

#3: I don't know what the fuck I'm on about. I'll stop.

it got leaked to divert attention from those dire fakes on myspace

iu think thats probably the most accurate reason it got leaked. aphex himself didnt want to out himself and admit he is brian tregaskin and rephlex didnt want to give any direct attention to a possible hoax so i think maybe even AFX's own ego couldnt resist and he had to leak them himself.

yeah he definitly uses cyndustries stuff, im only pointing it out because i hear many wavetable digital oscillators on the Tuss as well. The FM thing is merely more probably digital stuff to throw on top of the pile. Lots of the fm sounds on this do not sound like they came from a cyndustries zero oscillator. Im 99% certain hes using a shit load of wavetable synthesis as well on The Tuss. This could just mean hes using a Mini wave module from Blacet which is arguably digital/analog hybrid

I'd say anything digital in the setup is being controlled "analogue style" with hardware midi / CV, a la the 727 and DMX on Analord.

i think you just want to think that, if hes controlling sampled break beats with CV gate sequencers i would cry from shock.

there is absolutely nothing 'promised' on the Tuss to indicate its a purely analog or hardware sequenced setup. In fact Death Fuck is one of the most impressive computer midi sequencing/ DSP workouts ive heard in a while. If Death Fuck was done with analog sequencing the only way i'd believe that is if i saw a video of him making the track with one (chances are id still be arguing the video is faked and that he overdubbed the audio)

Erm, Squarepusher uses a hardware sequencer.

Where did I say he was controlling a sampler with CV?

you didnt, im just pointing out the fact that if he's doing break beat cutups digitally on a computer why would you just automatically assume every other aspect of his music is analog or hardware sequenced? Did he say this was the case? I dont even think this was the case on analord, although for analord it seems likely.

Im sure squarepusher also uses software sequencers. I see no reason for a musician to exclusively use one, they'd be missing out on the advantages each one has.

I reckon he has a (Doepfer?) modular vocoder. There's voice processing on all the tracks but only a couple where it sounds like actual proper vocoding. Hence I think he's patching up his own voice mangling thingys.

yeah im sure there is a lot of analog vocoding going on but i distinctly hear some granular and spectral transforming going on which indicates to me he is also using a digital vocoder of some kind maybe Vokator or Kyma. There is a lot of digital time stretching/granularizing on songs like Death fuck

well i tells ya I like the myspace tracks, kinda aphex meets autechre, this would be cool if it in fact the stuff he will release next, remember the Rushup tracks are near 2 years old.
