Speakers picking up radio waves

I just moved house last week and my monitors are picking up radio waves.

I have a pair of Wharfdale diamond-pro's plugged into my computer via an M-Audio hub. When I turn them on, they pick up radio waves.. some Bhangra Radio station.

If I turn on the speakers without turning the computer on there's no interferance. It's only when I have the computer on. So I'm thinking it's the hub itself picking up the waves

I found a similar problem here:

Has anyone experienced this???

my speakers are generally fine, but i occasionally hear a cordless phone ring signal over them - not a ringing noise, but the radio signal the base station sends out to make the cordless ring. it's kind of a tinny "duntaduntaduntadunt"

i only knew what it was due to years of listening to my neighbors via my radio scanner

I get the same problem, it's usually in the evening though hmm

I read a story of a guy who thought a ghost was living in his home

It was apparently his teapot picking up radio waves lol

That's bizarre, I've heard of heaters picking up strong signals though. There's a specific type, think they were called "bar heaters" or something but they have a good ammount of metal on them and pick up radio signals.

Interesting. It's never happened to me but you've got me paranoid now.

I'll ask around to see if it's happened to anyone I know.
