How and when did you hear about Aphex?

I used to be in a Team Fortess Classic clan, I was a pretty cool teenager you see, and one of our members was called The Fall. We were talking about music, I mentioned my then love for The Prodigy, he mentioned Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin so I spent an age on dial-up getting it and it blew me away. A couple of evenings later I was listening to the John Peel radio show and I heard a track I loved, when it finished he said it was a song called Polynomial C by AFX and that was it, I had to buy his albums.
