Guest boki
Nah, I just remember reading it in that huge FAQ that was on the Aphex Start site back in the day. Plus, I've actually bought a Terratag t-shirt so that's how I knew about that bit. Bonus trivia: Paul's brother Mark is better known as the DJ and producer Osymyso. He's a nice chap. Guest Kenneth172
aphex didn't make his logo It's by prototype 21 isn't it? Simon Parkes? Well, Dan Parkes did the artwork for On and Ventolin according to Discogs and probably on the sleeve credits if I remember rightly. I do remember hearing about the dancer that Aphex had on stage with him in 1993 also did the logo. That dancer was ace, seemed crazy at the time, that's where I learnt my moves... Guest Frequency
"Aphex Twin's logo was created, not by Dan Parkes as some sources assert, but by designer Paul "Terratag" Nicholson in 1992. Nicholson: "Dan Parkes was the illustrator of the artwork that appeared on the "Ventolin" release. A s far as I know, that is the only artwork that Dan created for Richard. A little piece of trivia about the logo: at the time I met Richard, I had being doing artwork for a San Francisco-based skatewear label called Anarachic Adjustment. Their 'thing' at the time had been the whole "alien" vibe (remember, we are talking 1991). So, I had been creating loads of designs based around the letter 'A' which got knocked back. Richard, having seen the work in progress, liked where I was going with the amorphic shape and from these I developed what is now the Aphex 'A.' The logo was finished early 1992, in time to appear on the "Xylem Tube" sleeve."

TAN 109 is the alias that Universal Indicator Green is recorded under (so I've read) TAN 109 is RDJ (just like 'Martin Trezzider' is RDJ and just like 'Q-Chastic' is RDJ) TAN 109 Discography Why do you bring TAN 109 up LUDD? Joyrex
TAN-109 was also credited for doing design work as well, but this can be explained by the fact that Richard has co-designed several of his albums (SAW II with Paul, and Drukqs with Manuel Sepulveda), in which Richard does the photography. Dan Parkes did do the artwork for Ventolin and On. I originally posted the interview/FAQ with Paul about the logo, and have unused designs of the Aphex Twin logo and type treatment Paul provided as well.
