The design looks interesting but it's sounds too muddy and lofi for me. I wonder if they'll improve it in the future.

that's not what i hear... but i guess opinions vary. i was part of the beta for it and Generate. It's capable of a lot of interesting sounds.  lofi is not a word that comes mind for me.

The fun and funky Surrealistic MG-1 Plus Synthesizer is a super authentic recreation of the Realistic MG-1 synthesizer sold in Radio Shack stores in the 80's. The Surrealistic MG-1 Plus delivers fat analog tone in spades, along with a unique polyphonic oscillator section, "bell tone" ring modulation, glide, auto repeat note triggering, oscillator sync, and a number of improvements that tremendously expand its capabilities. Best of all, it's absolutely FREE!

That looks nice but Arturia's site is incredibly broken.  I had to try three browsers and disable my VPN just to get the registration page to work right and then after that it still wouldn't let me log in until I reset my password with a link in an email that didn't actually get sent so at this point it's more effort than its worth to me for another chorus.

MG-1 still has just about my favorite oscillator sync of any synth I've ever used.  I'm ultimately glad I traded mine for a string synth but I definitely miss it.

yeah the mg-1 for sure rivals some of the smaller moogs of the time. my uncle bought one of these new from radioshack when they came out and it's always been a sound that i am attracted to.

1) Great tune
2) fantastic synth, after a quick demo I went for Generate :)

Signalizer is a all-in-one signal visualizing package with a bunch of unique focus-points; real-time audio visualization with optimized 3D GPU graphics, everything being scalable and zoomable gridlessly as well as being arbitrarily precise in both settings and display.

Can someone please tell me what MPE is, is it just like roli thingy

It's something that was co-developed by I think Roli and Linn and has been rolled into the official MIDI spec.  It's basically a formal standard to handle spreading MIDI across multiple channels from a single controller to a single instrument to allow things like separate pitch bend for every note, the way guitar synths have done since the 80s.

It's really, really fun and the controllers are getting more affordable and common.
