I also just found that OPL plugin. Sounds great too. Must compare with vopm.

By the way, Oxe FM is now on win, mac and linux. B)

Damn, MGF, that PG-8X one looks nice. I would definitely like to try it since you mentioned it sounding as good as Dexed (which I love, the interface is actually really easy to use and understand - especially after I did more studying and practice with FM).

This is still listed on my local craigslist....

Been meaning to ask 'round here but wasn't worth a topic - The default init patch of Dexed (cycles through 6 waveforms) does the 6th waveform make a weird crunch sound as if it's corrupted, does this happen for anyone else ?

dunno if you know, but I quite like captain credible's vst and vsti stuff. my secret weapon for simple basic but fucked up stuff.

The asplodenator is great for breaks and stuff, acts a bit like one of the new grm tool plugins (forgot the name)

The rest is some weird fckd up stuff and simply plugs stuff like OrbzSynth, which makes nice basslines, but will always give you the extra plip.

A few nice, free utility plugins from BOZ:

(that last one is completely redundant if you use Reaper)

This is pretty ancient but I'd never run across it before.  VST port of the EQ from the old Ensoniq PARIS:

http://www.hometracked.com/2007/05/09/download-the-paris-eq-vst/

Supposedly it's a direct port of the EQ code from the original DSP card, so it should sound identical (not that I've ever even seen a PARIS system, much less know what the EQ sounds like, but people always seemed to love it).

Alas no, and have been hoping Oskari would make one for years .... I would totally purchase a Buzz to VST wrapper to use Buzz machines in Ableton

http://wavearts.com/about/news/wave-arts-releases-free-tube-saturator-vintage/

Wave Arts has re-issued the original Tube Saturator as a free plugin. Tube Saturator Vintage uses 64-bit circuit simulation technology to faithfully reproduce the sound of a dual triode preamp. While it sounds great, the circuit simulation technology is very CPU intensive, that’s why we developed its successor, Tube Saturator 2. Tube Saturator 2 is vastly more efficient, nearly identical in simulation accuracy, and adds many other features. However, some users prefer the sound of the original and request it, hence we have released it as a free plug.
