SH-1000

Recommended Posts

Just bought a Roland SH-1000! In all its wooden glory!

Anybody got any pointers for looking after it? I'm guessing it'll be in a fairly geriatric state by now...

Oh, and dont check ebay... i probably paid well over the odds for it :embrassed: .

/partially gloating, proud message.

Noice. A piece of Roland history.

I used to be put off by it cause its preset-based, but after seeing it in action, it seems like a very underrated synth. Doesnt sound too far away sound-wise from the rest of the SH series.

I saw one of these alongside an SH2000 in the window of a junk/furniture/house clearance shop once, went back to investigate when it was open and it had been sold (probably for about £20). Very annoying!

Seems like a fun, if limited bit of kit though. Sure it'll be good to play with.

fuck, one of my favorite keyboards! I want one so bad!!

Check out the Avalanche's Undersea Community EP to hear probably some of the best use of the Sh-1000 I've heard.

it doesn't sound anythig like my 101 but it is a quality synth. i've used one on 2 bits of music i dicked around with in the early 90's. great fun.
