...how brilliant it is.

this is the first time i've listened to it in a hell of a long time. im sat at home, at the end of a horrible cold, on new years eve. and the campfire headphase is making my evening....well, pretty good!

i saw a bit of negativity about this album on this website recently...

why?

it really must have something to do with the holiday travel season. for the same reason airflight accidnets become hot news items. of course i am referring to the album, which is the story of the album, the crash of a 747. people hate this kind of coddling!

wtf

But yes I love this album too. I think the hate is understandable, it was quite a change from the first two records, and I geuss some people thought the happy sort of feel of it was too cheesy or something. I think it's a great record.

stop I haven't slept for 53 hours man your hurting me

it is, its safety orange so its easy to spot. it contains the final messages from boc fake albums, as well as the subliminal vibrations, or photographs, found on the album covers.

I can respect this and I know I'm at risk of sounding like a BoC fanboy but I'd like to say that I hated this album at first and couldn't get through it, but I really pushed myself to really listen to it and now I love it.

It finally clicked a little while ago, when I got the vinyl version for some reason. I still say 'Macquarie Ridge' is the best track on the album.

It's a great track. Damn those Japanese!!

The same happened to me. I started listening to Music Has the Right on my BOC playlist while I was playing some game on the computer and then it segued right into Campfire Headphase. At first, I was like "Fuck, now I have to listen to the cheesy guitars". I had never liked the album, it sounded too... constructed? It had just put me off, I can't quite explain it.

But as the album went along, I really started liking it and I really got into it. I think it was Pontiac Dream that got me hooked. I've been listening to it almost nonstop for about three days now and I dig it a lot. It's the polar opposite of Geogaddi, it sounds hopeful and dreamy rather than menacing. The albums can't be compared to each other, so I don't think there's a better one. They're all so different. I can hardly wait for their next release to see which direction they go in next.

I have to say that this album was a huge dissapointment for me. I found it to be hollow in comparison to their early work. Needless to say that i really did listen to it a lot. It just didn't work for me. It will take a lot to beat Geogaddi in my opinion. That record really is flawless.
