luke vibert tally ho synchronicicity causes confusion

just now, i put on the tally ho! album. as the opening strains of coughing fired up, someone actually started coughing down the hall. the cougher's cadence was precisely the same as the one in fly swat, and the pitch was pretty close, too.

 

it tripped me the fuck out for a second. time felt like it wasn't moving correctly. it's like when you're going up a flight of stairs in the dark, and you think there's another, but there isn't. your foot stomps down on empty air, and it feels... weird.
