Yeah, bizarre. I've seen more interest in an Aled Jones gig. Very quiet on the Aphex front.

Alexi Perälä was amazing. Literally breathtaking. Even RDJ just chilled and listened for the set. Mind you he had just played on and off for four hours. When I first arrived there were about thirty people in the room with RDJ doing a dub and funk set. With no one dancing. I couldn't stop grinning. Just the comparison to seeing him at the Warehouse Project. It was the best night I have ever been to. Of course it picked up, the atmosphere was just right, not too rammed. Everyone was there for the right reasons. And despite the weather. Grant Wilson Claridge has made something special there and he has my utmost respect. It is quite simply exactly how this music should be seen.

too bad the MI6 didnt record that set by astrobotnia :-(

(i read on watmm they were recording anything anywhere, a bit like chris watson but to track down terrorists not pretty sounds).

i know his live sets are wicked, i hope we should not wait for 3 years for a new astro/ovuca record.

sounds like a good night..

Yeah, I agree 100%. I had only heard a few of his tracks before seeing him. I actually had to ask the Rephlex photographer who he was. The smoke machine was on full whack and it was really loud by then. He had to shout 'Ovuca' right into my ear. After I replied 'What?' There were three more attempts at shouted communication before I finally got what the fuck he was on about. But yeah Perala took it to the next level that night. I'm buying up all of his music as we speak.

No sorry, I doubt anyone was recording but there was a soundboard so who knows. Its unlikely. But yeah if anyone else has any sets I'd love to hear them. He played this one track which I hesitate to say was dubstep. Either way, it blew my mind. It would be nice if they were recording all these nights and put together a Rephlex Live CD wouldn't it.
