if someone wants to pm me this, that'd be cool.

I like it quite a bit.

why do people keep saying this? are you really that poor that you can't afford a couple of dollars for a track?

I'm made out of mold.

This retort encapsulates the limitations of the n00b.

An epic fail.

yeah... that's the only way i know it... i've only been doing this for about 2 months now... i was bored one day caught up with work and the dude that normally does it was backed up and needed help... so i kinda taught myself how to do it!

i just learned directsmile, it's a pretty awesome program. variable imagery and such. my favourite demo image is the slightly underaged looking girl in a bath writing a person's name in the bubbles:

you can even see a nipple if you look hard enough!

There's something a bit rough and ugly sounding about this track that makes it hard to enjoy. I'm not talking about deliberate darkness, like in Confield. It's something irritating.

How long is this track?

I love the "slowed-down Basic Channel" comparison. Really curious.

id be curious to hear what people thought of this if the exact track was released by say, chris clark.

Same here.

Much as I've loved a lot of Autechre's music, I do reckon if Clark put that track out everyone would rip it to shreds.

The Subrange sets, Losid 2 and Suns versions were all more enjoyable for me than the Range set and Perlence itself, which I felt were kinda throwaways to begin with. My only issue with Subrange 6-36 is the clipping-like reverb on some of the bass hits are too jarring to truly feel like it has a purpose there. Otherwise, it's an average at best ambient track and I don't mind it. Altibzz/Altichyre and the Notwo/Nofour sets more than make up for it. If they won't do a 'studio live' album, I can only hope they do a more ambient album along those lines.

Ah, that's what it was. I thought there was something wrong with my brand new headphones!

..And I don't want to get high in order to enjoy it! LOL, a flushing toilet sounds cool when you're stoned. Plus, that would make it a really expensive track if you had to go score each time you listened. Bleep should put "Suggested Retail Price 50 Euros as You're Gonna Need Some Skunk for this One."

 :rhubear1: exactly

I don't care who released this, it sucks

There are a lot of experimental artists who have released better ambient tracks
