Mods - feel free to move me on if you don't think this is relevant here

I produce old skool hardcore using 100% software (fruity loops and a load of VSTs and plugins)

What are you using to make your music? Are there any decent VSTs that might produce similar effects to Machinedrum/Monomachine?

Nothing serious - I fancy playing around a bit

electronic music is a myth that was invented by geeks, record labels and journalists. it was born with Richard D. James Album and it died with Drukqs.

there are all sorts of people here, using all sorts of kit. Fruity Loops is pretty well represented here, as are many other platforms. Phasic posts here sometimes, I think he's a fruityloops user?

see the 'Your Latest Creations' forum which i think people have already pointed out to you. If you review other people's stuff, they'll generally review yours.

Wisp is our most famous EKT member i guess, he has gone from posting tracks in Your Latest Creations and is now signed to Rephlex*. I have an inkling that he is also a fruityloops user, but I may be wrong.

Your post was reasonable, but I think the title "Anyone make their own electronic music here?" got people a bit agitated. They're generally a nice bunch though.

Very few of us like the term 'electronic music' but we seem to be stuck with it until someone comes up with a better label.

Genre's are soooo 20th century anyway ....

* Though, of course, I'm not saying that posting here will help you get anywhere. He's an exception to the rule. I just thought it was worth mentioning him. I guess I'm quite proud of him : )
