Another thing is whenever I'm wearing my old worn old Aphex t-shirt I'll almost always get a comment of "cool shirt" by some young barman or metalhead.

There's also the fact he sold out at last years Warehouse Project not long after it was announced and well before any of the other big name DJ's. There's still plenty of Tickets for Squarepusher who's holding the baton this year?!?

Aphex iz massiv! :shade:

"Aphex Twin" ?

Ask you're regular none electronic music enthusiast under the age of 36 who U-ziq, Cylob or Autechre are and you'll get "??????" but say Aphex Twin and they say "ahhhhh yeah I've seen those wierd videos on MTV" or " I've read some crazy shit about him in NME".

Hat's off to the man for giving alternative electronic or 'electronic music' a face (like Kraftwerk/Jarre in the 70/80's) and creating the renowned mystiq that is...! :aphexsign:

Hmm... There's a bit of bandwaggoning going on there. Thank fuck you didn't liken him to Rick Wakeman (the 'face' of the prog-rock keyboard world).

The green/yellow/red one, or the wavy white one?

why do metallers always love aphex?

even though they usually don't know anything outside come to daddy, they always claim they're fans.

i'm such an electronic music snob

I've only met one other person in real life who knew about Aphex Twin from a source other than me.

Odd, I have at least 100 mates/acquaintances/rave buddies who are into aphex. at a guess.

the amount of my 'friends' who are major fans must be 60-70%.

i don't think much of this was orchestrated, more as if we came together through love of weird.
