beat 1 - like the bass. simple but really carries the track. the high part sound like plaid. kind of directionless. some nice sounds.

regarding wavs, im really ignorant when it comes to what the best sound quality might be for something, but i suppose to an extent its intentional. perhaps im rationalizing, but a person singing into an answering machine can be just as beautiful and as something thats made with pristine audio quality. but anyway, thanks for the comments, i appreciate it.

btw, i do agree that its kind of directionless. my original intention was to have the high part and the timestretched speech build and become more prominent at the end, but it doesnt really come across. ive added some more sounds to accent the 'build', so hopefully it comes across better now.

I like Beat1 a lot, especially what you did between 2:20 and 2:40 with the bass cutting out and various effects. It'd be nice to revisit that before the song ended, and either way I liked the abrupt ending of the song (which doesn't work a lot of the times).

Beat2 is good as well, though something about it made me less excited than Beat1.

By the way, is it just a coincidence that both tracks are the same length? I synched them up and they sounded really really great together (until it became desynched)...

thanks for the comments!

the similarity in track length is a total coincidence. i never thought about synching them up before...maybe ill do that, revisit and extend the animal noise part of beat 1 and call it beat 3 :)
