Anyway, my favourite grocery store is a giant Vietnamese store called My Thanh, and they frequently have pretty terrible music playing on the PA. One day I went in there and they had a cover version of last christmas, sung by an asian woman who hit the flattest notes I've ever heard. Now it includes Spice Girls, Hanson, the Beatles, The Beach Boys, Sarah Maclachlan, Ella Fitzgerald, Lou Rawlins, the Blenders, The Nylons, and a handful of others, but it's a combination of stuff my parents played at Christmas when I was a kid and stuff I know is classic Christmas.
