Aphex official Ventolin Video

Yes, it's official - the only place you can get it is on the Japanese Come To Viddy (which I have). Richard and WARP hate this video with a passion - I personally like it quite a bit.

Yeah I've seen this before. Pretty cool I always thought. Never thought much for the song though (no offence anyone who loves it). Might be quite good but the high-pitched pain ALL the way through just fucks with my head.

Personally I don't really care for the video, but the track is fantastic! I loved playing it when I went from class to class on my old school making presentations on Afx. The reason why I don't like it is that the video shows so much potential when it starts out. Like iep said some of it looks like something by David Lynch, and I definitely agree on that. The woman in the elevator looks like the Mystery Man from Lost Highway, but then all of a sudden there are footage of airconditioners and all sorts of pipes etc. and lots of this footage loos so amateur-like.

NTSC VHS. WPVR-88 / 4943674008834 WARNER MUSIC VISION JAPAN/WARP RECORDS LTD.

This release (the Japanese Come To Viddy VHS) is also the ONLY place that WARP officially acknowledges that GAK is Richard's work (the inside liner of the cassette case has all of Richard's releases, and GAK is there).

t'is a good tune, I remember the video being ok, not Cunningham's level but still a nice video...

Yeah, it's also no where near the level of On either, which is beautiful IMO, and that probably lacked the budget of Cunningham's vids and even Donkey Rhubarb. Granted, Jarvic Cocker directed On.

I agree though, it's alright, definitely appropriate and the right mood for the track. The problem, as mentioned with the David Lynch comparions, is that the Ventolin vid is just unorginal. It could easily be a video for any 80s EBM single.

I always like the track. Painful but at the same time refreshing, like it's rinsing your brain out a little bit.

That video though... what exactly is it trying to say? These vents are like your respiratory system and this is all very sinister! WhOAOAOA!
