Been listening to this guy for a while, don't know if anyone else is aware of him...

 

His music shares a lot of common ground with the Ghost Box label (his most recent album was mastered by Jon Brooks, aka The Advisory Circle). Similar reference points; Edwardian/Victorian weird fiction and ghost stories etc.

 

I can't describe the sound very well, but I suppose it's a bit like the Focus Group's sound collages, but with more emphasis on beats.

 

 

Anyway, I recommend giving it a listen

Yeah, I meant to post that link.

 

I've got both the Moon Wiring Club albums, which I ordered through Blank Workshop. He's created a whole fictional town called 'Clinkshell'. It's like a cross between Belbury and Royston Vasey. Nice artwork, too.

agreed. there's something about the lack of fluidity...it's like listening to music while you've got a fever....
