Need some good music like Autechre

So I have been pretty much exclusively listening to the following few artists:

Autechre, BoC, Plaid, Bonobo, Squarepusher and Clark

I'm looking for something more in the vein of Ae/Clark style music.

I'm NOT looking for anything with vocals, and I much prefer synth over real recorded instruments. Any good suggestions? Thx all

it's a shit comparison but, how about aphex? I know there are a few members who haven't actually heard any of his stuff... if you're one of them, you should. Come to Daddy EP, Richard D James Album, Hangable Auto Bulb, maybe

and agree with Gescom, recomendation If you Like Ae you will no doubt like all Gescom stuff. The quality of Gescom stuff is very nearly up there with Ae for me, all there stuff is essential listening (tho saying that I still havent got round to getting mini disc)

which brings us to BOLA who is not so much like most of the above maybe but nonetheless very good, nice combination of unique weird ambient and faster rhytms... oh, and your list includes BoC so you might like. Get Soup or Fyuti

My Shapes-CD arrived just yesterday, I've yet to listen to it though.

Excuse me in case you've mentioned Bola yourself in some other thread or something, I never tried to remember who knows what.

i put up my own LP of 'lying on the floor...' on soulseek in 2005 as Autechre's Untilted and a large percentage of the people who downloaded it (around 50%) said they thought the real Untilted was fake and that mine was real.

richard devine is a good one,

also for LP5/EP7 era AE influenced stuff check out Arovane

and for the more glitchy stuff check out Fizzarum and Syndrone (only put out one LP that sounds a whole lot like confield)

for the ultra glitchy atmospheric AE stuff check out Farmers Manual, a band that had a heavy influence on AE's sound undeniably, especially with Gescom 'minidisc' which took the concept from Farmers Manual's 'Explorers We' album as well as sounding very similar.

I can imagine people falling for these, the first two tracks at least...did you merge them to reach the same play time and amount of tracks?

i actually included the real LCC and pro radii in mine and inserted similar length tracks from 'lying on the floor' to quasi match the actual untilted plaulist.

I'm yet to hear music that sounds like latter period Autechre that doesn't sound like a lesser copy.

Have you heard Dalglish /O.s.t. - 'ideom', 'otjhor' or Farmers Manual - 'fsck' And/or 'explorers we'

I'm definately going to check out your album when I get home from work. I've yet to hear a FANTASTIC album from an artist who is not too famous/busy to discuss the music with afterwards you now.

Also yeah I have all Richard Devine's albums, and Bola's too. Both are pretty effing stellar.

Thanks for the continued input folks.
