He went on tour with Ae and participated in their curated ATP, Ae even made an unreleased remix of his O.S.T. track, so it shouldn't be an obscure reference here. A couple of his finest records was released on Record Label Records by Awepittance who was a noticeable figure in the subforum.

 

I recommend Benacah Drann Deachd (as Dalglish) as the first stop

Oh yes, that drummer has a nice style. Kinda clean and minimalistic but still complex, lots of tempo changes. And yes, reminds more on Autechre than other drummers I've heard

found it. it's called "Pocket Change". not out yet. release is later this month. also has a bunch of sample loops FS on loop loft. 

 

the pocket change stuff sounds like the youtube clips.

It is true, Nate Smith's projects gravitate around fairly classical sounds (jazz, fusion funk), but often there are  sudden digresses in the abstract:
