That's ok - I know that many question the ideas, and so here's your time to listen to a lengthy Q and A session with the people who brought about the movement. The audience members are mostly made up of members of the movement, so expect to see very complex questions asked.

It's the official day whereby everyone worldwide spreads as much awareness as possible. Many countries as we speak are showing screenings + doing their own presentations. One of my housemates is really into the Zeitgeist thing and is doing some sort of speech for it at his uni soon. I'm incredibly skeptical.

i wonder if boc are on this cult/movement

What makes you believe this is a cult. First and foremost, there is no leader, it's up to you, it's up to us to bring about the change needed in humanity.

If skeptical, please take a look at the presentation. It's live now. Peter the presenter has stated there will be an hour and a half Q and A session.. the questions will be very complex and challenging if you would like to learn more about the ideas and concepts.

I've seen the film, and saying "I'm very skeptical" was a polite way of saying "I think it's horseshit", sorry. I have to put up with enough proselytizing at home.

I found this article quite interesting, regarding the filmmaker's sloppy research on matters of religion: http://www.skeptic.com/eskeptic/09-02-25.html#feature

But I'm really not up for an argument on this, it'll turn into the WTC hologram thing all over again.

Fresco is admired for his ideas as a social engineer. A lot of the concepts which The Venus Project promotes and outlines are original - in my opinion he has taken ideas much further than they ever have been to show to the public.

What are people's thoughts so far? > The Q and A session is what I am most looking forward to.

You can find a very similar presentation here:

Have you watched Zeitgeist Addendum?

The very first Zeitgeist film is good however it ponders too much on global conspiracies and does not look at the root causes of things that happen within our current society. Personally, Peter Joseph should not have attacked religion in the way he did back in the first film. He was not expecting for it to go viral on the internet with millions of views. People kept asking him "so what solutions do you propose"? - all he had done in the first film was outline the problems but did not tackle any root causes and offerred no solutions at all. So, moving on from the first film, Addendum was created and released in Oct '08. At this point in time, he had met Fresco and expanded upon ideas.

You might find that Addendum is much more important than the first film that you have seen, I honestly would not reccomend the first film to too many people as Religion is a very complex subject matter. Iain C - perhaps stick around for the Q and A in the current live presentation in NY? Might answer a few things that you are concerned of..
