Name some artists more deserving of a subforum

Firstly, bob ain't lobbying for shit, I know this isn't a cheerocracy, Joyrex makes all the cheercisions round here. Seems to me though that there are a bunch of artists that bring more casserole to the IDM buffet than cylob - got nothing against dude or his music, I just don't see him as particularly popular/prominent. IMHO some of the more savoury selections include

- The Orb

- Chris Clark

- Amon Tobin

- Mouse on Mars

And possibly

- Aleksi Perala/Ovuca/Astrobotnia

- Bola

jus' sayin!

Orbital

Future Sound of London

The Orb

Brian Eno

Underworld

Massive Attack

Chemical Brothers

Daft Punk

Amon Tobin

and if we're so against "IDM" and pro "Electronic music" why stick to these people and not branch out to the true "big names" in electronic

drop plaid and cylob

juss sayin'

these are for sure the most realistic options. The amount of people that respond to an Orb thread is about 10x the about for a Cylob thread.

hehe . . .

Venetian Snares

*runs before Joyrex gets to thread*

Fucking Rick Astley will get a subforum before VSnares does...

And, just in case anyone's curious - I have no problem with Aaron Funk at all - just don't like his style of "music", although some of the Last Exit stuff intrigues me.

Orbital subforum plz.

Actually, I think it would be more fitting to combine the existing subforums into like...a "music" subforum or something, then putting it as an extension of General Banter. The reason those subforums exist is because the artists are so popular you don't want all the BoC and Aphex threads cluttering up GB, but as a result of their segregation there's 12 things to click on just to browse those boards. With GB and a Music board, you could have one for dedicated musical elitism and one for bacon porn & feces discussion.

12 clicks?

There's direct links to each of the subforums at the top of the board... that's 1 click.
