A lot of hard work has gone into Rushup Edge and even though I've really overplayed it I still enjoy it when somebody else puts it on.

The Tuss is a good balance of the Analord vintage sound with the extreme virtuoso digital editing of Drukqs whilst not getting too self indulgent with either side and keeping plenty going on to listen too each time.

A natural evolution although can anything more really be done with it?

I'd like to think so. :braindance:

Glass Plate. I want to like you man, I really do, but why are you such a negative nancy. I think you try way to hard to be cool and different, but it just makes you a cunt. Is this just your watmm persona? I think that's you irl though too. I feel sorry for you.

my theory is that the tuss sound is something like what rdj imagined music would sound like in 20 years, ~20 years ago. so, 20 years later and music technology is greatly evolved, and he's doing all this crazy drukqs stuff and then he remembers his old conceptions of where music was going and thus is born the tuss, retro-futuristic acid/something else. I come to this conclusion because most of it sounds like it could have come out in the late 80s, early 90s, except for minor details (effects, arrangement, etc) which sound out of place (too modern).

of course, the more obvious method would be for him to just notice that drukqs and analord are opposite ends of a spectrum and then aim for somewhere in between, but the tuss isn't just a cross of the two, so I think there must have been more to it than that.

or maybe he just diddled a pregnant squirrel and recorded the sounds she made

as usual... the tuss tracks come into their own with plays by RDJ during his fantastic DJ sets.....

thats when they make the most sense and have the best punch........

I'm not a fan studio released listens... give them to me in the context of a massive rave any day!
