vamos scorcho Posted April 24, 2009 Share Posted April 24, 2009 at first i thought tuss was pretty standard. same with the analords. now i'm starting to think they're my favorites, specifically the two tuss releases. probably his most nuanced music to date. beautiful stuff. i was on a huge autechre kick for like 3 years and i've just recently realized i think i like aphex twin more. i'm sure i'll switch back and forth my whole life, doesn't really matter. both incredible artists and geniuses abound. autechre is sonically adventurous in ridiculous ways and aphex is...something else. hard to really intellectualize what makes this music so great. yeah but the tuss, fuck yeah Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Adjective Posted April 26, 2009 Share Posted April 26, 2009 anyone who doesn't marvel at the utter brilliance of deathfuck must be a total pussy who is scared off within the first minute of the song there is no other rational expalnation concur i sort of translate sounds into textures on planes or around / intersecting certain shapes. the character of the distortion on percussion (maybe it's not necessarily signal through distortion, i don't know) in the first part of Death Fuck becomes this uncomfortable stiff fibrous mass in my head. the fibers are stiff and straight and go from white to luminous flashes. i find it really difficult to describe because more than it being actually imagery and touch sensations in my head it's more like my brain is feeding me how i should react to such imagery without actually generating it.
