apt v4

a thing I made like a year ago to use in a considerably unique survival horror game project; I made some changes to it recently after stopping work on the thing a long time ago

this was going to be used in a relieving intermission type of section (think of the bit at Heaven's Night in Silent Hill 2 with the lounge music except in a cleaner, more.. passive environment)

I'm trying to work on making longer stretched-out but structural pieces of music, because all my other stuff is sort of a sketchy throwing-out of ideas which gets old pretty quickly.

any criticisms are appreciated

This is lovely. I think I would prefer it without the beats though. Not that they are bad or anything, I dunno, the tune would be great on its own.

thanks; I chose to add percussion because the melodies themselves I found became repetitive after a while, and I needed a way to end the song that seemed more natural; just having the song end with that drop-off at the end seemed kind of abrupt, and I also wanted to mask that other sort of watery synth in the background coming in near the end (the one that ends the song)

spent a lot of time getting the percussion sounds right though, almost nothing I tried sounded right to me
