Just bought my first vinyl. Need a good but cheap record player to blast from. I'm sure you get what you pay for but whatever.

Recommend.

belt drive?

:undecided:

Are you just looking to get a turntable for listening to records? If you are, get belt drive..It'll be cheaper. The only advantage to direct drive is more torque, which is useful if you're going to be scratching/mixing.

Nah, nothing's changed really...the only thing to watch out for with a secondhand turntable would be the condition of the stylus...if it's had a lot of use, it could be worn out.

imo opinion a lot of the older hi fi stuff from the seventies and eighties sounds much better than stuff you get today....my mate used to have this old Sansui one and it was one of the nicest turntables i've seen and sounded lovely - think it cost him about £60.

  • 4 years later...

Too pricey innit.

Looks nice though.

Sorry =(

I wasn't sure what you meant by "big boy".

what's your price range, maybe I have some suggestions? =)

Keep in mind that pro-ject one comes with $100 cart already, plus you can rip your vinyl to your pc with it.
