I've never seen her react to music this way before! So im just sitting in my room smoking and hanging out with my kitty cat. Shes sitting there asleep. And as soon as rettic ac comes on, she shoots awake. Shes staring at the speakers looking like shes about to freak out. Then, as soon as tewe comes on she just lies back down and goes to sleep. it was pretty cute, i must say. anyone else have animals that react weirdly to autechre?

Actually check this thread I made about an AE tune scaring my cat, it was pretty funny!

I'm wondering if it's 'cause it sounds a bit like cat's hissing. Which leads to the next question - why does hissing at a cat make it petrified - to avoid snakes, death by deflating car, to avoid Merzbow concerts ?

haha, clever. i think linking to your thread would have made more sense, if you wanted it to continue there or something. anyway, i searched for "autechre and cats" and nothing came up. my sincerest apologies though.

so.

yeah i know it must have something to do with the waves of static. theres something very rich and full of depth in this tune. it has a huge sense of space in it, which is what i think threw the cat off. ive had a similar experience with wind in songs too. its funny how this cat will sleep through any afx or even team doyobi i put on. i wouldnt have expected a relatively ambient track like rettic AC to evoke such a reaction. cats are so fucking cute!

rettic ac is so cool and 3d sounding, the beginning is like if fol3 was a magic eye and you finally got inside it
