eric dolphy - out to lunch (get this now if you haven't heard it)

andrew hill - point of departure

wayne shorter - schizophrenia

pharaoh sanders - karma (get this one for sure as well)

all have their beautiful relaxed moments but there is also some incredibly freeing stuff going on in some other moments. all amazing

Agreed, Bohren is definitely sloooow motion, but great stuff. I like Black Earth and Dolores.

Also check out:

Bill Evans - Live at the Village Vanguard

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue and In a Silent Way

Ahmad Jamal - The Awakening

Lots of Thelonius Monk!

Alice Coltrane - Journey in Satchidananda

eR DoN - Subroutines

Local Seattle artist I discovered earlier this year. Very chill glitch-hop incorporating lots of jazz. I love this album. You can stream the whole thing here.
