ok i have the same type of keyboard as this one. it's a good deal monetarily and does the job, but it's not spectacular in any way.

 

definitely agree that it would be more useful if it had more assignable capabilities. if you're just trying to play stuff on the keyboard as a means of MIDI triggering a sampler or vst, go for it. it just won't give you that real-time sound manipulation thing that's way more fun, in my opinion.

 

also, the keys are a little springy for my taste, but it's not bad enough to really throw me off, at least.

if you don't have a keyboard this could be good but most of the knobs and faders will be useless because they can't easily be mapped to plugins, vsts, etc.

 

if you pair it up with a novation nocturn it could be extremely useful and a quality combination.
