I did this upgrade yesterday and it runs 100% Every pattern, kits, samplebanks and sysex was still in the machine.  The GND-machines is so tasty and with the unisonmode and pitch control it is easy

Yeah, really incredible. I’m subscribed to the GitHub thread so you see all this back and forth between the 2 guys working out the implementation and fixing bugs and the amount of work and dedication

Thanks for sharing, would never have heard about this!

Recon there isn't much fear of it bricking itself or anything spooky like that?

Zero I’d say. Or at least no more than when installing elektron’s official firmware. These guys know what they’re doing and are very communicative in the thread over at elektronauts.

This is very cool.

I have read of many problems with people uploading the firmware and it not installing etc but it doesn’t brick the MD - it’s mainly caused by the speed of upload over midi (no usb) so it needs to be tweaked in some instances.

I think don’t panic is the order of the day 😎

The best quote from the dev’s IMO was the line ‘hi hats can do baselines now!!’

Also reading the devs posts the idea of ‘new’ machines is being looked at and they are busy learning how they are coded. The new snare and BD afaik were already coded and hidden in the code and enabled rather than a new machine being written.

very interesting developments 🥳

The GND-machines is so tasty and with the unisonmode and pitch control it is easy to get gritty bass and nice chords.
It feels like I have a little Monomachine inside!

Warning: The hours flies away when you jamming! 😃
