How can I emulate this sound?

you need lots of filters and automation to get something like that

Something tells me that with all of the info Zaz is accumulating, he is going to blow our minds with some fat, mental, Acid-jungle beats. If this isn't the case, I will be one disappointed mutha.

You're in the spotlight, Zaz. Don't fail us.

you could get that type sound a lot of ways really easy. you could take a real short cymbal sound or something put distortion on it and slow build delay and reverb and automate it

not to bitch and moan but its pretty boring simple thing really, I'm pretty disappointed I had to listen to that track for a few seconds to hear it

Have Akon sing on your song, then delete every one of his takes.

I'm going to start working hard to get known or "famous" or whatever just so I can do that. Actually, Akon AND Usher + T-Pain OMG TRIFECTA. *Starts making wickedly catchy electro-clash*

Akons are not easy prey. Predators often find the hard way that herd of Akon do not respond to what most prey perceive as catchy. To effectively lure Akon herd alphas, such as the most well-known Akons in the world, Colby O'Donnell and Akon, one must embellish their lurecalls with the following:

- a catchiness of the most repugnant kind (see "late 90's tween Pop"), with earworm characteristics but not even necessarily a humable quality, more simply put a cacophony so horrid it gets ingrained on the mind as any other terrible shock in one's life (see "War", "Death of family member", etc.)

- start from a pitbull beat, downgrade

- write in key that skirts the upper limit of targeted Akon's limited vocal range, as to produce notable strain, whine, wheeze and generally NOSE in the performance, even with subsequent Autotune doctoring; this also exhausts the Akon, making it vulnerable to pursuit;

- provide lyrics that resonate with the Akon's distorted perception of the world along with the lurecall: asinine attempts at depth framed by incredible, yet weirdly awkward and impotent misogyny rendered with nuances of a persona that is closest to what could possibly be a first true american gay black ex-con emo work best

- fart

- it helps if you're david guetta

Please note that if not killed the right way, Akons are poisonous. The right way to kill an Akon is to, cum stupid hard in its pen0r while being an angry flaccid Jonah Falcon and infected with SAND AIDS.

it's a reversed cymbal or maybe some white noise with a filter sweep.
