The new album by Brian McKenzie (one-half of Stars of the Lid) is released. Highly highly recommended!

"Mass Transit Railway" (the last track of that album) is one of my favorite ambient compositions. Truly epic.

Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto's UTP album from 2009 is fantastic. There are few flaws here and there but it's definitely one of the best ambient albums from the last couple of years.

Then there's Brian Eno and Harold Budd's "The Pearl" which is a classic. Beautiful!

I'm also a big fan of Murcof's Cosmos album even though I've heavily edited a few of the tracks because there are some parts that completely ruin it for me. I'm listening to the original now and I had almost completely forgotten how annoying some of those shock-elements are.

I think Cosmos is quite fine unedited.

Hells no. I never listened to any of the more ambient-ish tracks from the album (Cuerpo Celeste and Oort) before I removed all the annoying bits and pieces.
