This is a perfect example of why Warp was such a great label throughout the 90's. Autechre were the godfathers of whateveer the music press couldnt classify

possibly my favourite ep ever, with second peng being possibly my favourite tune ever. i've never heard anything like it before or since and 10 years on it's still fucking amazing. the cichlisuite, both peel session and garbage EPs are all similarly amazing. damn their new stuff!!

mine's the waxtrax US 2 disc version of tri repeate. i normally ignored the anvil vapre and garbage disc because of the length, but i decided to listen past second bad vilbel one day. second scepe must surely be up there as one of the best electronic tracks of the mid 90's. somehow i feel the mood of anvil vapre is very similar to gescom's key nell. 2 of my fave autechrean excursions.

Nooooooowwww you're talkin! Up there in my top ten AE. I always felt that "Laughing Quarter" was like a hard-edge version of that song.
