pingu, beavis'n'butthead and a few more passed the test of time so far. the rest looks dull now,,

You've just reminded me..Angry Beavers is still really watchable.

I was gonna post the intro but YouTube seems to have changed.

fuck yeah. I'm sure I'd find it even funnier today given it was a borderline adult cartoon passing as a kid's show.

amen. i have such fond memories of that cartoon. i imagine i would enjoy it just the same if i were to watch it now

also:

this one probably loses a little value with time and age, though

i remember hating pingu, fireman sam, postman pat and so on. noot noot my balls.

every boy of a similar age probably liked the turtles. shredder wasn't bad at puns and all that. "have a dough-net!" the first piece of musical media i can remember is this on cassette.

get up and party.

i'd play it on one of these fisher-price tape recorders

this was a really compelling show. shit tv for kids today is inexcusable.

i was quite into eerie, indiana too. i watched it all again a few years ago. still holds up.

i only found out within the last two years that the raccoon's theme was actually released and had its own video. so, any excuse to post a woman in leggings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usFFKNRB2z8

i noticed that a girl from that embarrassing SUPER SUPER programme also digs the theme. oh boy.

i had an amiga 500 and a pile of pirated games.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKAHy3Tx0kU

played a buttload of this on it. top to bottom fantastic. just listen to those sound effects. later on you get a jetpack. yeaaaahhhh! around this time jean-claude van damme films were enjoyable.

I just bought the complete Eerie Indiana boxset. 18 eps for £13 is the most insane value ever. I remember probably 3 episodes, vaguely, so it's going to be a real treat to watch it again and get a good run going on it because I never had the opportunity as a child.

Wow, so happy.

I just remembered that Ren & Stimpy is still just as awesome as it was back when I was younger.

Yeh, used to like this and Rocco's Modern Life. Not quite as good as they were back then, but still heaps better than today's childrens programs

Splinter taught them to be ninja teens (He's a radical rat!)

Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines (That's a fact, Jack!)

Raphael is cool but crude (Gimme a break!)

Michaelangelo is a party dude (Party!)

Michaelangelo really got the short straw in that verse. It didnt seem that way at the time. It's great to party but it's like, where's the effort? Leonardo leads (nice), Donatello does machines (very ambiguous - tell us more, you know?) Raphael is cool but crude (it's like, he's cool but not perfect - like Kurt Cobain) Michaelangelo is a party dude (Party!) As i said, everyone likes a party but it's like..... fuck off, make him a violinist or something, it's fucking wide open.

I was totally entranced by the original Clash Of The Titans. I used to stuff my dad's belt in my tighty-whities to emulate Calibos' tail. I also had my mom tie bits of twine in my hair in order to pretend that I had snakes on my head like Medusa. Kids are really fucking strange--I'm looking forward to the weird shit they do when I have them. Even as I watch it now 20-25 years later, I still think it's badass. The SFX alone is remarkable.

I didn't do any of that weird shit, but I completely agree that Clash of the Titans is an amazing film. It's the last true epic.

jayce and the wheeled warriors. it was the coolest thing ever to me when i was a kid, now i realize that it's just a big pile of shit. shittiest animation ever. the character design was cool though

that show traumatized me because of how it ended i always blamed the tv station for never airing the rest of the episodes, it wasn't until the internets that i've found out that there weren't any more episodes or an ending to the show.

i found tmnt season 5 for 3 dollars at tj maxx, of all places. picked it up. yeah, whoo. definitely largely nostalgia.

hilariously, though, in one episode donatello and a japanese friend of splinter's are trailing shredder all around the city and at one point he just sort of stops and steals a vcr from a pawn shop. no foot dudes, nothing else. donatello is just like "look, it's the shredder, we should get him!" and he's like running out of a pawn shop with a VCR.

yeah both these shows I want to look into again. didn't realize Round the Twist was so old I saw it but I think it was around GOOSEBUMPS time lolol Twilight becomes book PHENOMENON today and we get crappy movie and a couple knock-off book series that suck (just assuming/probably right about this) Goosebumps is the big book series back in the day and I think the TV show would be watchable and two other shows (in the youtube video) are aired to cash in on the popularity/they could've released anything and received large bags of cash daily but the stuff they do put out is like TWIN PEAKS FOR KIDS

but yeah I was a Nickelodeon kid and by and large Nickelodeon's programming feels like the RESPONSE to most of this shit being posted (e.g. TMNT cartoon that isn't really that good/way to sell toys)

FOX Kids was the one running Erie, Indiana and stuff though before they became all anime all the time and now there's like no cartoons wtf it's just Judge Judy or something
