went to Weston yesterday and out of respect visited the olde Coil home, now a retirement center

lots of surreal graphics on the outbuildings, "Temple Hill"/T-H, well it is right on the very top of the town itself, a black sun with black rays, a black n white pointed star, but a huge building in itself though but due to attachment fail can not upload the pics here

had to go to Burnham for a decent chippy mind

Oh that sounds wonderful, please do upload some pictures (You can just use imgur and link us the gallery). Might have to add a visit to the place on my near future plans.

they're not that spectacular but'll wang em oop somehwere over le weekend chaps

its a beautiful spot though, way up above the town itself with gigantor Georgian town houses all along that row and the sea directly to the west.... must be worth a chunk of change these days

caveat is the postcode is BS23 2HD.....coincidences eh ;)

Irrelevant spoopy tidbit: was listening to some Coil last night when I read Balance passed away exactly 12 years ago. Ended up with this track at one point and while reading the title I realized it was also exactly a year since the attacks in Paris.

2 different youlube users have uploaded quite a lot of Coil material in recent months, the "Coil Archiver" and "thujone2" (hope these link up ok):

1 or 2 of the vid comments suggest a link to Black Sun, either way as much of the live footage isnt on a par with CSO, the interviews are the real aces in the proverbial pack. Insights on ideologies are teased out with more clarity than is available elsewhere, so barring serious academic interest (shame on you musicologists) there are some intriguing pointers and insights among the mass of material available via these 2 accounts

cant verify sorry & not enough free time to go thru all the live material uploaded

after a more critical delve into what could be gleamed so far, the interviews seem the more engaging

1 or 2 duplicates from previous uploads, but this one covers a good range of topics & reinforces how rapidly JB's mental health deteriorated in the months following

Sub Rosa is pressing "Another Brown World / Baby Food" on vinyl for the first time.  Definitely psyched to hear Baby Food given room to breathe on a 12" pressing.

For those that don't have it already, Dais Records is reissuing Time Machines:

These are amongst my alltime fave Coil things, so this is my lucky day. Really have to get these ASAP, hoping that Time Machines will have EU distribution as well, otherwise it won't be cheap :(

Cool news, I hope that most of Coil's best work gets a repress. Better yet, hopefully at some point we'll get a digital release of their entire discography. Though to be fair, I'm not sure how well Time Machines would translate to vinyl; it's like trying to listen to Ryoji Ikeda on wax. It sounds like it was made specifically for CD
