They didn't seem to realize the show had been using the same tired tropes since the beginning. I mean, basically, they just have Dexter reiterate everything you're seeing in voice over narration. Should I tell them about the voice over, the constant redundant internal monologues? Dexter is also a terrible character with no redeeming qualities. Could it be possible that they didn't see how Dexter's motivations only served his own interests? It's like Entourage with serial killers. What I mean by this is, Dexter gets away with everything, all the time, like Vince on Entourage. Except he's a serial killer. The show wraps everything up in a nice little bow for the viewer. The writers suck and are unable to resolve conflict in a realistic way. Zaphod's Dad: Remember that time I found you creating dupes on xltronic and I showed you how to use Tor? Remember your training? You're getting careless. Remember your training. My dad was right. Thanks ghost dad. Zaphod's Dad: I hope you drown in a fucking hurricane. But, Dexter was a pretty weak show, getting surprise boobies from good looking ladies, regardless of the value as a character, was one of few redeeming qualities the show had. There was a time when everyone on watmm was praising the show, so I went out on the Chinese street and bought a box set of the first two seasons. I think I made it through three episodes before throwing in the towel. I didn't want to ruin everyone's fun but it's been a pretty crap show from the start...
