01. The Mash and the Fury

02. Sycamore Feeling

03. Past the Beginning of the End

04. Shades of Marble

05. ...Even Though You're With Another Girl

06. Haxan

07. Metamorphis

08. Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!

09. Neverglade

10. Tide

The full-length will be released on June 7th, and will come out via his own In My Room imprint. Composed of ten tracks, the record sees

Trentemøller experimenting with "more organic and analog" textures, in contrast to the "crisp, digital sheen" that made him famous on his debut,

The Last Resort. Reportedly including instruments like bass mandolin, theremin and a music box, Trentemøller nonetheless admits that computers

were utilized at some point in the process. "I recorded most of the album in my computer, but in the final stages I transferred all the parts to analog

tape through a lot of vintage EQ's and pre-amps. The tape saturation and the analog outboard really helped getting the warm sound that I was after.

" Solveig Sandnes, Josephine Philip and Guillemots singer Fyfe Dangerfield all feature. A single, "Sycamore Feeling," will precede the album.

That track sounds way too poppy. Trentemoller has incredible abilities in sound design IMO, at least on The Last Resort which is basically all I've heard of him album-wise. Not saying the song is bad at all but i feel he's wasting much of his talent, as that is basically pop music....the kind of electronic 17 year old not-quite-hipsteresque girls around here listen to.

This is out today.

Just listening to it now... sounds good so far. Seems like fans of The Last Resort will not be disappointed.

Actually this is quite different from his debut. It's still Trentemoller, but it's much less minimal, much less electronic and much more instrumental, organic and poppy (in places).

It's no longer strictly electronic music.

Trentemoller has always mentioned in interviews that he wants to get further away from the dance/club scene and in this album I think he will achieved that. It's like a mixture of electronica, pop, indie, shoe gaze, goth and drum 'n' bass, and whilst that might sound awful, it really does seem to work well.

I just bought this yesterday - A fabulous little album (and for me) came seemingly out of the blue. I must be getting old as the most poppy track of the whole album (Even Though You're With Another Girl) was by far my favourite. But yeah, a real nice surprise from an artist I'd previously never heard of.

No I think I'd agree with that too. I feel that's his track most influenced by Nina Simone, of whom he seems to be a big fan.

this is a completely satisfying listen save for the silver surfer ghost rider go trac which i think is hideous and

diverts the flow of the entire album-i deleted it. otherwise imo trentemøller has really done something special here.
